Level 1: High-Interest Content 

What’s Level 1 content?

• Focuses on high-priority topics that directly support Continued’s current subscribers & organizational initiatives

• Addresses essential knowledge & competencies required for healthcare professionals across various roles & settings 

• Aligns with regulatory requirements, industry standards, & best practices to ensure compliance, safety, & high-quality patient care

Examples of Level 1 content may include:

1. Alzheimer's Disease, Dementia, and Understanding Behaviors

2. Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare

3. Crisis Intervention & Workplace Violence Prevention (Behavior Management, Workplace Violence, Sexual Harassment, Bullying, Aggressive Behaviors)

4. Domestic and Elder Abuse, Child Abuse, and Mandated Reporting

5. Emergency Preparedness & Response (Medical Codes, Fire Safety, Disaster, Active Shooter, Clinical & Nonclinical)

6. Ethics in Healthcare 

7. Ergonomics, Patient Handling, and Injury Prevention (Body Mechanics, Falls, Skin Integrity, Pressure Injury Prevention)

8. Infection Control, OSHA Safety & Precautions (PPE, Prevention)

9. Leadership and Professionalism in Healthcare

Level 2: Core Knowledge Content 

• Relevant to future or current healthcare professionals across all disciplines

• May cover any of a wide range of subjects (e.g., general healthcare knowledge, clinical insights, career readiness, professional development)

If your expertise can enhance a healthcare professional’s understanding, skills, or ability to provide quality care, we encourage you to submit content or a course proposal.

We recognize that faculty have unique expertise, and we encourage submissions on any topic that contributes to the growth and success of those entering or working within the healthcare field.
